Welcome
Letter from Adriènne Kelbie, Corporate Director of Business Support
Hello
Thank you for your interest in the role of Head of Legal and Democratic Services for Hull City Council. I joined the HCC team as Corporate Director for Business Support last July, and it has been the most challenging and rewarding year of my career. I’m delighted to now recruit to the last place on my senior team. Will it be you?
Hull has come a long way in recent years. It’s a great place to live and work, our people are amongst the friendliest in the UK, and our teams are incredibly passionate about the services we deliver. We are on the brink of substantial inward investment for the city, and know that more jobs will continue to re-invigorate our city.
We are a progressive authority, committed to putting customers at the heart of our services, recognising the need to move with the times and tailor our services accordingly. We are committed to a ‘One City’ approach to service delivery and are dedicated to improving outcomes and thereby the lives of our residents.
Our Business Support directorate comprises many services, all of which need to work together to improve our ways of working. Every penny counts and we are more cost conscious than ever before – so a relentless drive for improved performance is paramount.
The role of Head of Legal and Democratic Services will not be easy. But it will be hugely rewarding for a candidate who is motivated to improve delivery and bring direction to a very committed team, who enjoys working with highly engaged members and who wants to work towards a clear vision for Hull.
Kind regards
Adriènne Kelbie
